What we collect and why

Your account

When you create an account we store your email address and, if you sign up with a password, a securely hashed version of it. If you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive the account identifier and email address that service returns, and the first time you sign in, your name, which we use as your display name only if you haven’t set one. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email, and we then receive Apple’s private relay address instead.

Your profile and intake answers

During onboarding we ask for and store your date of birth, what you are looking for, your biggest challenge, your dating experience, relationship status, current dating situation, confidence level, where you meet people, your social style, and any notes you add. We also store your time zone and your plan. Your date of birth confirms you are 18 or over.

People you add

For each person you add we store the name you give them, your notes, an optional photo, the stage and intent of the relationship, and a confidence score with its history. The app also builds and stores AI written notes, facts it has picked out, and a summary of that relationship. Please read Information about other people.

Your conversations and uploads

Stylist

We store the occasion you describe, the conversation, and for each outfit you show it, a written description of what you were wearing, the colours and garments it noticed, and its assessment. Over time those descriptions help Stylist give advice that fits your style.

We do not keep the photo. It is resized on your phone, sent to Anthropic to be read, and never written to our storage. There is no stored outfit photo to delete, leak or hand over.

Weather and location

Stylist can check the forecast for your event. To do that it uses the place you mention for the event, looked up through Google Places, or, only if you allow it, your phone’s location while you are using the app. Coordinates are rounded to about 1 km on your phone and again on our server, then sent to Apple WeatherKit for a one hour forecast window. We never store or log your coordinates. If you prefer, you can simply tell Stylist the city.

Concierge finds date spots from the city or zip code you type. It does not use your phone’s location.

Usage

We count how often you use features with plan limits so those limits can be applied, and we record whether and when you agreed to the AI notice.

Emails

We send account emails, such as sign up codes and password reset codes, through Resend, which receives your email address and the message.

What we do not collect

The app contains no analytics, advertising, attribution, tracking or crash reporting software. We do not build advertising profiles or track you across other apps or websites. We never receive your payment card details.

Device permissions

Every permission is optional. Saying no turns off only the feature that needs it.

PermissionWhat the app tells youWhat it is used for
Location (while using the app)“Lady’s Choice uses your location only to get the local weather forecast for Stylist’s outfit advice. It’s optional. You can tell Stylist the city instead.”Stylist’s forecast, rounded to about 1 km and never stored. Never “Always”.
Camera“Take a photo of a conversation for Intel to read, or of an outfit for Stylist to look at.”Capturing an image for Intel or Stylist.
Photo library“Your photo library is used for screenshots you send to Intel, outfit photos you show Stylist, and pictures you add to your Vision boards.”Choosing images. The app can see only the photos you pick.

Where your information lives

Your information is held by Supabase, our database, sign in and file storage provider, in its West US (Northern California) region. It is stored in the United States.

Every table is protected so that a signed in account can read and change only its own information. Intel screenshots and Vision board images live in private storage that is not publicly readable. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS, and the keys for our AI, weather and places providers stay on our servers, never inside the app.

AI processing

The Lady’s Choice uses Anthropic (Claude) to read what you share and write what comes back.

We cannot delete copies held by Anthropic. Their own retention rules govern content once it has been sent.

Information about other people

The app is built around the people you are getting to know. When you add someone, write notes about them, or upload a screenshot of a conversation or their dating profile, you are sharing information about a person who has not agreed to this policy.

We treat it exactly like the rest of your information: private to your account, protected by the same rules, sent to Anthropic as described above, and deleted when you remove that person or delete your account. We never contact these people, build profiles of them outside your account, or use their information for anything else.

You are responsible for sharing only what you have the right to share.

Service providers

These companies process information on our behalf and only to provide the app.

ProviderWhat it receivesWhy
SupabaseEverything described above.Database, sign in and private file storage.
AnthropicThe content described in AI processing.Reads, analyses and replies.
AppleSign in with Apple identity, App Store purchase records, and rounded coordinates for WeatherKit.Sign in, billing and weather forecasts.
GoogleSign in with Google identity, and the place text you type or mention for Concierge and Stylist.Sign in and finding places.
RevenueCatAn account identifier and your subscription status.Recognising your subscription.
ResendYour email address and the account email we send you.Sending sign up and password reset codes.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information for as long as you have an account.

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings, Delete Account. That one step:

Your database records are removed from the live system immediately, but may remain in our encrypted daily backups for up to seven days until those backups expire. Uploaded images are not kept in backups. Content already sent to Anthropic, Google or Apple, and purchase records kept by Apple and RevenueCat, are governed by their own retention rules.

Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account, and deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. You manage that in your iPhone’s Settings.

Your rights

In the app you can view and edit your profile, edit or delete anyone on your roster and their notes, delete conversations, analyses and Vision boards, and delete your whole account.

Depending on where you live in the United States, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale, sharing for advertising, or profiling. We do not sell, share for advertising, or profile you for decisions with legal effects. To make any request, email support@theladyschoice.com. We will respond within 45 days, may need to confirm it is really you, and will never treat you differently for asking. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer.

California residents

Under California law, including the CCPA and CalOPPA:

Adults only

The Lady’s Choice is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, and the app will not let you finish setting up with a date of birth under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has an account, email support@theladyschoice.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
